Kaome: This is my commute to Eyebeam from East New York Brooklyn. I walk a lot just to get to my train station at Grant Ave. Then I take the A train to 14th street to transfer to the local E or C train to 23rd street. Next I walk to the M23 bus and take it to 10th ave. Next I walk over to 21st street and walk down to Eyebeam.
My commute from Eyebeam to my home takes me up 8th Ave, across 59th St, over the Queensboro Bridge, and up Crescent St.
Commuting
“Commuting” is a homework for all DDC students that we have to present once during the camp. It is a video or photo of our journey from home to Eyebeam and we present them in the beginning of each class. It is an exercise to map our movement in the city and an opportunity to learn about each other.

Big idea highlights include:
1. The Museum of Unfinished Creative Work (a must for any modern city)
2. Standard architecture as a defense against nature
3. Jaywalking as an appropriate exploration strategy
4. Documenting your commute makes your commute longer!
